基础教学部主要承担学院校公共基础课程的教学工作。本部门由语文、数理、外语、体育、思想政治、制图6个教研室构成。

基础教学部拥有一支理论素养良好、实践经验丰富的教师团队。现有教职工42人，40岁及以下青年教职工占比59.5%，女性教职工占比66.7%，专任教师中硕士及以上学位占比87.5%，高级专业技术职务占比25%。2014年部门被评为“上海市巾帼文明岗”，曾多次被授予校先进集体；3位教师获上海市园丁奖，教师中多人被授予校优秀教师、优秀青年教师等称号。

The Basic Teaching Department is mainly responsible for teaching general basic courses. The Department consists of six teaching and research sections: Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, physical education, ideological and political education and cartography.

The Basic Teaching Department has a team of teachers with good theoretical literacy and rich practical experience. It has a faculty of 42 members, of whom 59.5% are young staff aged 40 or under, 66.7% are female staff, 87.5% are professional teachers with master's degree or above, and 25% are of senior professional and technical titles. In 2014, the Department was awarded the title of Shanghai Women's Civilized Post, and has been awarded the school's advanced collective many times. Three teachers won the Shanghai Gardener Award, and many of the teachers were granted the school's outstanding teachers and outstanding young teachers.
